Words cannot simply describe how happy we are with Joe and his service. Joe really is the best real estate agent in Burbank.
We first met Joe at an open house that we went to just to get a feel for the local market. We were first time buyers with no idea how to start the process of purchasing our first home. We had met other agents at several other open houses but Joe came across differently, he was the first agent we felt comfortable with. Unlike other realtors that we had met Joe did not strike us as "sleazy" or a "fast talker."
Joe is very good about keeping in contact with clients yet not stalking them as well. Joe always sent us e-mail updates and kept us informed about homes on the market. Whenever we found a property we were interested in he showed it to us as quickly as possible.
Upon viewing the properties Joe was very good about pointing out both the positives and the negatives about a house. He did not sell us a house just to get a paycheck, he wanted to sell us a house that we could live in and be happy with. Joe painstakingly showed us over 30 properties until we found the right one.
When the right one happened, Joe wrote up the offer and submitted promptly. Our house had several offers on it. Joe went the extra mile to make our offer very strong by getting together with our loan officer Chris Toth, to present our offer to the agent in person. Both Chris and Joe went to bat with us to ensure we got the house. We sailed through escrow with very few hiccups and finally were awarded the keys to our new home.
Joe is not the type of agent to sell a house and leave. He still keeps in contact with us and always picks up the phone to answer all of our questions as new homeowners. We have recommended Joe to some of our closest friends and he is the only agent we will use in the future should we ever need to buy or sell a house again.

From the moment Yoshie and I met Joe Zapata at an open house in Burbank, we knew that we wanted to work with him to help us to find our first home. He grew up in Burbank and he still lives in the city, so he knows all of the nooks and crannies of the various neighborhoods.
Joe is tenacious but he never pushed us towards making a purchase, instead he guided us as first time buyers to make the best decision for our particular needs. Joe’s persistence and negotiating skill helped us to find the right home despite the many letdowns and struggles involved in the process. He also took us to other homes in other parts of Los Angeles in an exhaustive search, but in the end, we really wanted to live in Burbank. Joe found a way to get us into neighborhood of our choice within our price range.
Buying a home for the first time is a definite learning experience but Joe educated us and walked us through every step. He made it easy for us to understand all of the myriad details involved in purchasing a property. Yoshie and I have never seen so much paperwork in our lives but it went very well because he was able to clearly explain the details and he answered all of our questions in an honest and straightforward manner.
We didn’t make it easy on him either - we brought in an independent contractor to help give us additional perspective and he was understanding and gracious through the wrenching process. We backed out of an escrow when it wasn’t the right place for us and he kept our heads up by continuing the relentless search for our first home.
The negotiations once we found the right home were complicated but he completed the deal to get the home for us. He assisted us with a contractor and continues to check in and follow up with us well after the sale.
I can’t say enough for what Joe has done for us and I can recommend him as an exceptional realtor. You can’t go wrong with him.
